Alejandra obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2019.

Then, she continued her Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Optical Instrumentation at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, completing it in 2021.

During her master’s program, she constructed a Fizeau interferometer and developed an automated system for capturing interferograms, resulting in a successful assembly of an operational optical instrument at the University Laboratory for the Manufacturing of Optical Equipment (LUFABEO) at the Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (ICAT).

After completing her master’s degree, Alejandra moved into the industrial sector, working as an R&D Optical Engineer at an automotive company for over two years. Her responsibilities included performing simulations to advance new backlight technologies for displays and performing photometric measurements.

In 2024, Alejandra joined the LOUM within Doctoral Network ACTIVA program, supported by the Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions.

Additionally, Alejandra possesses a strong passion for participating in scientific outreach initiatives.
