Zhenghua Lin

Lin obtained the Bachelor of Medicine after 5 years study in the Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China. Then, he continued his Master of Ophthalmology in Central South University, China (2017-2020).

After he finished his master, he became an investigator in Aier Eye Hospital Groups. Since 2017, Lin was focused on research in peripheral refraction of human eye for seeking the clues that is relative with myopia progression. He developed the first two-dimensional high-resolution peripheral refraction map under the supervise of Prof. Pablo Artal and Prof. Weizhong Lan during his master. The results were published in Scientific Reports (2019), Biomedical Optics Express (2020) and Investigative Ophthalmology & Vision Science (2020). The findings could be helpful for developing next generation of myopia control products.

 In 2021, Lin received a fellowship (FPI grant) from the Ministry of Education of Spain for his PhD project in the University of Murcia, Spain. Now he is a member of LOUM and ready for the future challenge!
